UKChatCam Privacy Policy
UKChatCam puts you on camera with people you have never met, lets you talk by voice or text instead, and gives you clubs for group chat. Doing that means handling information about you and the device you use. This page lists what we handle, why, who else touches it and what you can ask us to do. Questions go to [email protected].

Everyone who opens ukchatcam.com is covered, whether you stay for one match on a guest profile or come back every evening and run a club of your own. The same rules apply when you open the site from a shortcut on your phone’s home screen, because that shortcut is simply the website in its own window.
When we say “UKChatCam”, “we” or “us”, we mean the people who operate ukchatcam.com. “You” is whoever is using the site on a given device. This policy sits alongside the Terms of Service; where both talk about the same subject, read them together.
A guest profile is created for you automatically when the site loads. Anything added after that is up to you.
Some records exist simply because the service is running. When you are matched we log that a match took place, which mode it used and when it finished. Follows, blocks, club memberships, join requests and your chat list are stored so they are still there next time.
Your camera and microphone only switch on after your browser asks and you say yes. Sound and picture pass between you and the other person so the call can happen. We also collect technical details such as browser and operating system, language setting, a rough location worked out from your IP address and error logs. We use these to keep the site stable, load it in the right language and spot abuse.
We rely on outside companies for hosting, content delivery, payments, automatic translation and crash reporting. They receive only what their part of the job needs and handle it under contract with us. Payment card details go straight to the payment provider; we do not see full card numbers.
We may share information when a legal obligation applies, when someone’s safety is seriously at risk, or as part of a sale or restructuring of the service, in which case this policy would continue to apply. Selling personal information is not part of how we operate.
We keep information while your profile is active and for as long afterwards as we need to settle disputes, handle reports, keep payment records or meet legal duties. Messages and club posts you delete may take some time to disappear from backups. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or strip out anything that identifies you.
Depending on where you live, data protection law (including the UK GDPR) may give you the right to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, ask us to delete it, object to some uses or receive a copy in a portable format. Email the support address above from any address and include your display name so we can find the profile. We may ask a simple question to confirm the profile is yours before acting.
If you think we have handled your information badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in to your profile, remember settings such as language, count free matches and understand which parts of the site get used. Clearing your browser data removes them, though a guest profile stored only on that device will go with them.
UKChatCam is not for anyone under 18. If we learn that a profile belongs to someone younger, we close it and remove the information linked to it.
When the service changes, this policy may change too. The date at the top of the page tells you when it was last revised. If a change matters a lot, we will point it out on the site before it takes effect.
